My interests are eclectic. My innate and essential loves are horses, Art [especially drawing and watercolour painting] and time in Nature. I take pleasure in reading, classical and jazz music, walking and hiking, and having good, long discussions on unconventional subjects.
Could I? … Should I offer more personal information?I am unsure. If you have any questions, please ask. I might answer.

I sometimes catch myself thinking that “playing” with pencil, colour, paper, and any other visual medium is not quite a valuable use of time. However, it was our earliest means of visual communication, and still is, I believe, our most powerful. As well, a recent study completed by the University College of London found that even viewing art reduces stress and cortisol levels; the effect is greater when one is creating art. From a personal perspective, when I see or hear about the joy my efforts have brought people, it makes the art both worthy and worthwhile. And when I am able to share my expertise and joy and humour with students, the good feeling amplifies and intensifies.
